What Is The Current Status Of The Iphone 3g Unlock?
Hey people, i might be getting a locked iphone from my friend soon, and i was wondering what the current status of the unlock is. Some websites i read that there are programs and other methods that are already out that will unlock the iphone. Other places, i hear that there is no current method of unlocking the iphone 3g. To Lock Or Unlock The Iphone 3g?
I have been considering purchasing an iphone for awhile… i have read a lot of blogs/reviews and what i want to know is if i unlock the phone (or buy an unlocked phone) will the aps still run? or can I even download aps after its unlocked? (in particular medical aps) can i still update it in itunes? like many others i do not mind the phones cost but seriously 110+ dollars a month to make it go is ridiculous, w/ less minutes per month/triple what i pay in text msg and worse service than i have right now (t-mobile)… when i unlock it and i call tmobile to add internet/unlimit texting does that automatically transfer to the iphone as well? my contract with them doesnt expire for another year (didnt know when i got a refurb phone b/c the first one had a design flaw that would reset my contract =(… grr) yet more motivation for me to make it work w/ tmobile… what if i wanted to eventually switch to att (when there plans change that is…)
i want to hear from people who have done it already or know enough about unlocking to speak about its long term effects (best one gets my vote!)… more than a few words please… i know it violates warranty (see above i have looked into this) and i know i might brick it in the process of unlocking, i heard rumors itunes updates might brick it… i want to hear from real people with real experiences good or bad… before i decide — Please help thanks all
